About Our Founder and Vision
James Voaklander, the visionary behind Pacific Viking Consulting LLC, is a seasoned advisor, leader, and consultant with over 20+ years of diverse professional experience. With a career spanning healthcare, sales, maritime, and more, James has built a reputation for his strategic acumen, operational expertise, and a deep commitment to helping businesses achieve their full potential.
James’s journey began with a passion for problem-solving and being part of high-performing teams. Growing up playing competitive team sports, he was elected captain multiple times, flourishing as a natural leader. These experiences ignited a lifelong dedication to teamwork and excellence that would shape his professional path.
Professionally, James started at a young age, working on sportfishing boats where he developed a strong work ethic and respect for hard work. A lifelong learner, he rose through the ranks and completed the required schooling to earn his 100-ton master's license. He then worked on research vessels for the prestigious Scripps Institution of Oceanography, where he honed his operational skills, team management, and leadership abilities. Promoted to chief mate during his tenure, James achieved the distinction of becoming a career employee at a notably young age—a significant accomplishment in his field.
Later, James discovered his passion for business development and operational leadership. Over the years, he has worked with numerous nationally recognized healthcare companies, ranging from owner-operated businesses to private equity-backed and corporate enterprises. His unique ability to thrive in diverse settings has allowed him to tailor solutions that align with each organization’s vision and goals.
